PARLeY EVENT

Two of my friends I went to high school with, Jordan Young and Spencer Glover, host an annual event called QC River Bowl. A flag football tournament that raises money for animal shelters and back to school supplies for kids. We all pitched in passing out supplies for the hundreds of kids that came by. I collaborated with them while working for archrival x adidas and playing for the Quad City Steamwheelers giving away autographed merchandise.
adidas x Parley is a non-profit organization that helps save the earth while turning harmful plastic waste into reusable materials such as shoes & clothing. While working for the brand, I was able to tech over 80 individuals at the event on how they can be helpful in our community. I gave tips of recycling, showed videos of how adidas x parley contributes and we picked up harmful waste around the event area. I also showed them items adidas x parley creates by collecting harmful plastic from out earths oceans & ecosystem.
Giving back to the community is a great accomplishment. Teaching the community to be aware of harmful plastic waste and how they can help positively impact our ecosystem. Free back to school supplies for the kids and raised awareness about Parley. Seeing smiles on parents and kids faces is a great feeling. In this event Jordan, Spencer and I used the game we love to give back to the community we support.
